Masters At Work - The Relaunch

Your favorite DJ’s favorite DJ. Masters At Work have been a pivotal piece in the house music puzzle for as long as they’ve been releasing music. Each playing their part to cultivate a movement that’s here to stay. ⠀
⠀
After some hiatus and plenty of stellar solo projects, the pair are back in business, remastering a number of tracks especially for the relaunch, releasing their first single in over 20 years, and perhaps most excitingly for MAW completists, a number of previously unreleased versions of various tracks will also be made available… for those with keen enough eyes and ears to unearth them.
We’ve compiled it all and more into one tidy package for your exploration, giving fans both new and old a unique opportunity to explore the newly complete catalog, alongside a selection of bespoke DJ Charts and a few of our favorite MAW memories.

A rhythmic current of visceral energy, the new single Mattel is named after their favorite drum machine and employs original sounds from the kit to produce a drum-driven electronic groove, with the percussion solo played live in the studio by Kenny Dope. Louie Vega compliments the beats and percussion solo with a bouncing bassline and hard-hitting stabs taking this seven-minute and fifty-nine-second track into the stratosphere

We called upon the legendary MAW and Dave was lucky enough to drop in on some of the sessions at Dungeon Tape (Brooklyn), and the Battery Studios NYC. He captured some of the studio
