Amal Nemer is one of the rising stars of the Afro House scene. As well as her skills in the studio, the Miami-based DJ and producer is a formidable Instagram influencer with hundreds of thousands of fans. During the sessions for her first release on Glasgow Underground (the brilliant "Amal's Dream"), she established a strong friendship with Kevin McKay. He had just recorded the Mary J. Blige song "Family Affair" and was testing out a tech house version. Unfortunately, David Guetta had the same idea, so Kevin put his version on hold. Amal suggested they collaborate on something with more Afro House flavours. After a few games of studio tennis bouncing stems back and forth across the Atlantic, this killer deep-as-you-like version of the classic song is ready.
